• ISGD Clinical Trials Summit Awards

  • ISGD is thrilled to announce 2 awards that will be given at our inaugural Clinical Trials Summit (CTS) this November in Galveston. The nomination process is now open, and will be closed on Monday Oct. 26th.

  • Award Names & Descriptions

    Individuals will be recognized for their work that has meaningfully advanced clinical trials in glomerular disease during their career. Nominees should be put forth if they have shaped our field in several ways, including through trial leadership, innovative trial design, cross-institutional collaboration, improving methodology, mentorship of the next generation of clinical investigators, or expanding patient access to trials.

    The two awards that will be given (based roughly on the number of years from completion of training) are:

    1. ISGD Clinical Trials Lifetime Achievement Award (around 20+ years since completion of training)
    2. ISGD Clinical Trials Mid-Career Achievement Award (around 10-20+ years since completion of training)

  • Note: The initial nominator may include the name of a 2nd nominator to also support the same nominee (without submitting a separate nomination). Please see that option below.

    Please respond to each of the questions below in 200 words or less per question.
  • Please note that the nominee will be assessed on their impact in the following 5 categories:

    1. Advancements in regulatory science, on clinical development & new therapies, on GD patients’ lives
    2. GD landmark trials & trial publications
    3. Clinical trial design, endpoints, methodology, execution
    4. Mentorship, education & training of investigators
    5. Trial site development & capacity building

     

    A few parameters to be aware of:

    1. Self-nominations are not allowed
    2. Each lead nominator may only nominate 1 candidate per award
    3. The Selection Committee will evaluate and select the winners, and will recuse themselves per any conflicts of interest or perceived bias related to any of the nominees.
    4. The 2 award winners will be notified by ISGD directly, along with those who nominated them.
